If–then plan builder

Give an intention a starting point. Turn a goal into a recognizable cue, a small action and a fallback. Print or download your personal plan.

Your starting point

Your entries stay in this page while it is open. They are not submitted to us or saved by this tool. Download or print before leaving.

YOUR TAKEAWAY

A little room to begin.

Complete the fields, then create your result here.

Make the plan easy to recognize

Choose a cue you can notice and an action small enough to start. “After I put the kettle on, I will read two pages” is more specific than “read more.” Add a fallback that fits an interrupted day.

For a blank paper version, write these headings: goal, cue, action, likely obstacle, fallback and review. The tool simply formats your answers; it does not assess you or predict success.
