How to print just the pages you want
Download the A4 or US Letter pack, open it in a PDF reader and choose the matching paper size. Print at 100% or “Actual size” to preserve the 18-point grid letters and 16-point word list. The grids are 12 × 12. Test one page before printing several copies.
For all three puzzles without answers, select pages 1, 3, 5 in the print dialog. For the solutions only, select 2, 4, 6. Print single-sided if you want to keep answers out of view. Readers can find words across, down and diagonally down-right.
For libraries, clubs and activity groups
Use a sheet for a drop-in table, a nature-themed afternoon or a quiet break between other activities. Provide pencils and a comfortable surface. Explain the directions, offer an example if requested and let people work alone or together. There is no timer and no expectation to finish.
The bird list can start a conversation about a bird someone has seen; the garden list can lead to a favourite plant or growing memory. These are optional conversation ideas, not a test or a treatment. Ask participants which format and level of help they prefer.
